Operations at New York’s LaGuardia Airport were briefly disrupted Monday night after two Delta regional jets collided on a taxiway. The planes clipped wings, injuring one person and prompting an immediate response from airport crews.

Authorities said the incident happened as both aircraft were maneuvering for departure. The injured individual’s condition has not been disclosed, but the injury was described as non-life-threatening.
The FAA confirmed it has opened an investigation to determine what led to the collision. Both planes have since been removed from the taxiway.
