Democrats Have Chosen Iran Over Israel — And It Will Cost Them Dearly

  |   By Liz Peek Staff

Fox News contributor Liz Peek appeared on Fox Business’s Kudlow warning that the Democratic Party has made a dangerous political and moral miscalculation by siding with Iran against Israel during an active military conflict. “To have a pro-Iranian Democratic Party is not in the long run a very good place to be,” Peek said, adding that the party has become “violently anti-Israel” — a posture she sees driving Democrat policy across the board. She noted that too many Democrats, including Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut, have been speaking out in favor of Iran, a stance she called both reckless and politically self-destructive.

Peek took aim at the Democratic Party’s broader platform, arguing it amounts to little more than reflexive opposition to Donald Trump. “They talk about impeachment. They talk about not just going after Trump when he’s out of office, but everyone who worked for him, all the companies that did business with him,” she said, calling the platform “meager” and suggesting Democrats have “gone berserk.” She cited striking new poll data showing Democrats are polling 30 points lower in approval than they were in 2018, while Trump has gained 7 points — a sign, she said, that even their own base is fed up with the party’s laser focus on resistance over results.

On voter integrity, Peek argued that the SAVE Act and voter ID reform represent a political gift Republicans are inexplicably leaving on the table. With 85% of Americans — including majorities of minorities and low-income voters — supporting voter ID requirements, Peek called on Republicans to force a standalone floor vote and make Democrats go on record against it. She argued Democrats oppose reform for transparently self-serving reasons: “We know that dead people almost always vote for Democrats… people who are not citizens clearly vote Democratic — so why would they want to kick them off the rolls?”

Peek also flagged what she called the Democrats’ emerging political playbook: strategic deception. Pointing to Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger as a prime example, she described a pattern of Democrats running as moderates on the campaign trail — even actively opposing progressive ballot measures — then governing as hard-left once in office. “They don’t advertise their plans until they’re already in office,” she warned. With Democrats offering voters no organic pro-growth economic agenda, and Republicans stalling on tax cuts and fiscal reconciliation, Peek concluded that the window to deliver real policy wins before the next election cycle is closing fast.
