Donald Wins: “Deplorables” trump Clinton

Liz | 11/09 at 09:22 PM

Donald Trump shocked pundits (and many political experts) Wednesday by winning the presidency. But his followers weren’t shocked at all.

Mr. Trump: The media is no longer your friend

Liz | 08/08 at 06:41 PM

Dear Mr. Trump, Apparently you didn’t get the memo – the one that told you the difference between competing in the primaries and running in the general election. Here’s the bottom line: you are now facing off against Hillary Clinton, and the media is no longer in your corner.

The DNC and Debbie Wasserman Schultz insult Bernie and 12 million Americans

Liz | 07/25 at 12:45 PM

More than 12 million Americans voted for Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary contest. Over 2 million sent in money – at $27 a pop, on average – to finance his campaign. Millions more felt the Bern, turned out for his rallies and cheered on his promised revolution.

Little did all those folks know that the Vermont senator with the raspy voice and big ideas never had a chance. As Sanders often suggested, the Democratic National Committee decided that Hillary Clinton would be their party’s presidential nominee long before any votes were cast. It turns out the Democratic Party isn’t so democratic after all.

The DNC, headed by longtime Clinton ally Debbie Wasserman Schultz, created a debate schedule that guaranteed low viewership, was designed to stifle competition and made sure Hillary’s dominance in superdelegates would keep rivals at bay. There was so much bad blood late last year that Sanders sued the DNC after the party denied his campaign access to important voter data, a suit that was later dismissed. Did Team Obama fudge the jobs numbers to stave off a Fed rate hike?

Liz | 06/07 at 07:13 AM

What a coincidence. Just as momentum was building towards an interest rate hike by the Fed, along comes a dismal jobs report that takes any increase off the table. Contrary to the general perception, this is a lucky break for Democrats., Donald Trump offends some conservatives.  Here’s my advice for them

Liz | 05/12 at 12:12 PM

Many of America’s leading conservatives are behaving as though someone walked through their front door smelling of manure. They are loftily disapproving of Donald Trump, who does not pass their ideological sniff test and who nonetheless is the presumptive Republican nominee. My advice: get over it. Your guy lost and, as Obama so famously said, elections have consequences.

Tags: Obama’s constant meddling is killing us, America.  We need leadership, not tinkering

Liz | 04/22 at 12:31 PM

I am incensed that our government has decided to put Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill. I have nothing against this gun-toting abolitionist; I have everything against President Obama’s continued rattling of the nation’s cage.

Tags: #NotTrump, (or Cruz or Kasich): Could a new candidate save the GOP?

Liz | 04/08 at 11:01 AM

Donald Trump is a mess, Ted Cruz is slippery, John Kasich is no conservative; it’s no wonder that GOP grandees are whispering about drafting House Speaker Paul Ryan or some other popular Republican in the case of a contested convention.

Foxnews GOP’s message to voters should be this:Supreme Court fight is about Obama’s abuse of power

Liz | 03/18 at 12:26 PM

Let us be clear: Republicans in the Senate are under no obligation to interview, vote on or confirm President Obama’s pick for the Supreme Court.

Liz | 03/02 at 02:35 PM

Hillary Clinton had a Super Tuesday, winning seven of eleven states. In her victory speech, she promised to “Make America Whole,” slamming Donald Trump for dividing the country.

Donald Trump might well become the 45th president of the United States. How do you feel about that? Exhilarated? Anxious? Proud?
