Trump train rolling, in spite of everything

Liz | 03/17 at 04:49 PM

Suggesting that Donald Trump should keep his head down, ignore petty slights and soldier on is like telling a raging bull to cover up his privates; both are unlikely propositions. Nonetheless, it’s good advice. The country elected Mr. Trump because voters were unhappy with the status quo – a sputtering economy, the loss of power and pride to overseas rivals, the unaffordability of healthcare, the inability to stem illegal immigration and the dithering over how to protect the country from terrorism. Outrage from a jilted Left doesn’t make those problems any less real.

Cancel vacations for Congress until August: How can push back against hysterical Democrats

Liz | 03/07 at 06:29 AM

President Obama and Democrats in Congress appear willing to use every legal (and maybe some illegal) tools available to undermine the Trump White House. Illegal leaks, misleading news stories, demonstrations, bureaucratic meddling, and Congressional obstruction have morphed into the Left’s partisan playbook, intentionally slow walking those trying to move forward on the Trump agenda.

Five proposals to get the Trump train back on track

Liz | 02/17 at 10:46 AM

Donald Trump’s presidency is only one month old, but already the buzzards are circling. The president cheered supporters by assailing his critics at yesterday’s press conference, but there is little doubt that the Trump White House is struggling to keep its momentum. The drama over Michael Flynn’s departure and the defeat of Labor nominee Pudzer raise concerns over organization and focus, and feed headlines reporting “borderline chaos.”

Note to the bewildered Democrats: Hating Trump is not a policy

Liz | 02/09 at 09:46 AM

Democrats are overjoyed that the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled against President Trump’s immigration order. That figures; never mind the legal issues or the possible impact on the White House’s ability to enact measures aimed at keeping the country safe. Most important: it was a blow to Trump, and Democrats couldn’t be happier. It’s gotten personal.

Forget the hysterical mainstream media—America likes Trump’s agenda, including his immigration

Liz | 01/30 at 08:52 PM

In its hysteria-driven coverage of President Trump’s immigration order, the mainstream media forgot to mention this: most of the country supports it.

What my sisters who marched don’t understand: Trump’s policies will help women (and the US)

Liz | 01/23 at 09:43 PM

Do not blame the women. Blame the media, Hillary Clinton, Hollywood, and liberals everywhere who have turned a blustery, untutored, occasionally crude but highly effective candidate into a monster.

Please, President Obama, FALN Terrorist Oscar Lopez Rivera Should Not Go Free

Liz | 12/01 at 09:38 AM

President Obama is reportedly close to commuting the sentence of one of America’s most vicious and unrepentant terrorists, Oscar Lopez Rivera. This must not happen.

Before ISIS, there was the FALN, the most prolific terrorist group ever to attack the United States.  The FBI has linked FALN, which declares itself waging war for Puerto Rican independence, to 146 bombings  and numerous armed robberies, including the heinous 1975 lunchtime attack on Fraunces Tavern in New York that killed 4 people and injured scores more.

Donald Wins: “Deplorables” trump Clinton

Liz | 11/09 at 09:22 PM

Donald Trump shocked pundits (and many political experts) Wednesday by winning the presidency. But his followers weren’t shocked at all.

Mr. Trump: The media is no longer your friend

Liz | 08/08 at 06:41 PM

Dear Mr. Trump, Apparently you didn’t get the memo – the one that told you the difference between competing in the primaries and running in the general election. Here’s the bottom line: you are now facing off against Hillary Clinton, and the media is no longer in your corner.

The DNC and Debbie Wasserman Schultz insult Bernie and 12 million Americans

Liz | 07/25 at 12:45 PM

More than 12 million Americans voted for Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary contest. Over 2 million sent in money – at $27 a pop, on average – to finance his campaign. Millions more felt the Bern, turned out for his rallies and cheered on his promised revolution.

Little did all those folks know that the Vermont senator with the raspy voice and big ideas never had a chance. As Sanders often suggested, the Democratic National Committee decided that Hillary Clinton would be their party’s presidential nominee long before any votes were cast. It turns out the Democratic Party isn’t so democratic after all.

The DNC, headed by longtime Clinton ally Debbie Wasserman Schultz, created a debate schedule that guaranteed low viewership, was designed to stifle competition and made sure Hillary’s dominance in superdelegates would keep rivals at bay. There was so much bad blood late last year that Sanders sued the DNC after the party denied his campaign access to important voter data, a suit that was later dismissed.
